Media Release - Public Holiday Closures

Council wishes to inform the community that the below facilities will be closed Monday 26 April 2021 and reopening Tuesday 27 April 2021 due to the ANZAC Day Public Holiday. The following facilities will also be closed Monday 3 May 2021 and reopening Tuesday 4 May 2021 due to the Labour Day Public Holiday:

• Lannercost Street Office and Council Depot;
• Hinchinbrook Shire Library;
• Halifax Sub-Branch Library;
• TYTO Regional Art Gallery; and
• Hinchinbrook Aquatic Centre.

Please be advised that the Warrens Hill Landfill and Resource Recovery Centre and Hinchinbrook Visitor Information Centre will remain open on Monday 26 April 2021 and Monday 3 May 2021.

Usual operating hours for Halifax Transfer Station will not be affected by the ANZAC Day Public Holiday or Labour Day Public Holiday as the facility is not open on Mondays or Tuesdays.

Domestic Wheelie Bins will continue to be serviced as normal.
