2024 Apprentice and Trainee Program
Traineeship and apprenticeship initiatives are offered by Council to address the recruitment and growth needs of the community by attracting applicants with a commitment to study within a range of fields at Council. Our traineeships and apprenticeships can help you kick start your career in local government and help you take the next step toward your future career. A traineeship or apprenticeship allows you to gain on the job experience whilst completing studies.
Minimum education standards are required. Recruitment generally commences in the mid-latter part of each year, with positions commencing early the following year.
Council may offer a range of opportunities in areas such as:
- Biosecurity;
- Payroll/Finance; and
- Business Services.
