The Corporate Plan is Council’s highest level strategic document and provides a roadmap to guide Council’s policies, decisions, and resource allocation over the next five years. It sets out a strategic direction to achieve our shared vision of realising the full potential of our people and place – The Hinchinbrook Way.
This Plan has been shaped by extensive community and stakeholder consultation undertaken during the development of the Liveability 2035: Shaping the Hinchinbrook Way Strategy. Almost 2,000 residents engaged in conversations about the future of the Shire, and their input has informed both the strategic themes and priorities of this Corporate Plan.
The Corporate Plan identifies four key focus areas – Connected, Resilient, Authentic and Aspirational – supported by catalyst projects, strategic initiatives, and measures of success. It is intended to inform Council’s annual Operational Plans and Budgets, enable meaningful performance monitoring, and guide long term advocacy, investment, and service delivery.
