Hinchinbrook Business Resilience Project

The Hinchinbrook Shire Council, through its Corporate and Operational Plans, seeks to support the economic prosperity of the Hinchinbrook Shire, which includes local natural disaster management, coordination, planning, service provision and recovery activities.

Through the Hinchinbrook Business Resilience Project (HBRP) and in accordance with Corporate and Operational Plans, Council is seeking to increase the resilience of the local business community against natural disaster events that occur regularly in the Hinchinbrook Shire.

Council encourages local businesses to develop a Business Resilience Plan (BRP) for their own business, with a view to increasing its preparedness for a disaster event and its resilience during the recovery phase. 

The HBRP was funded by the Queensland Reconstruction Authority, through the Natural Disaster Resilience Program, with a co-contribution by the Hinchinbrook Shire Council.
