Council is bound by legislation to produce a Budget each financial year. The draft 2021-2022 Budget was presented to Councillors on 6 July 2021 and was later adopted by Council on Tuesday 13 July 2021.

Hinchinbrook Shire Council's 2021-2022 Budget has been prepared in accordance with the Local Government Act 2009 and the Local Government Regulation 2012. The period covered by the Budget is for three years, ending 30 June 2024.
