Roadworks

TCouncil endeavours to keep residents up to date on current road conditions including during disaster and emergency situations and throughout planned works.

Whilst Council makes all efforts to ensure that information is accurate and up to date, this data is collated from a range of sources and all users should apply discretion and consider the relevance of this information in regards to their own particular circumstances.

Roadworks Information

The table below has information regarding roadworks which Council is undertaking including contact details if you require further information about the works listed.

Wallaman Falls Road, Lannercost

Open to all traffic under controlled conditions.

Council advises that Wallaman Falls Road is open to all traffic under CONTROLLED CONDITIONS.

The controlled conditions include two sections of road, approxiamately 5km from the bottom of the range, which are only open to one lane of traffic at a time.

Motorists are reminded that it is necessary to strictly adhere to all traffic signage, including speed restrictions and the requirement for descending traffic to stop at the nominated locations to allow ascending traffic right of way.

McIlwraith Street and Menzies Street/Marina Parade intersection, Ingham Kerb and Channel Rehabilitation Works 17 July 2018 - 3 August 2018, weather permitting

During this time, the following guidelines will be in place:-

  • The speed limit will be reduced to 40km/hour through the work zones;
  • Single lane road operation may occur at times;
  • There will be machinery and workers on foot in the work area.
  • Due to the nature of works there may be increased noise during this time
  • Ongoing works will occur between 6.00am and 4.00pm.

Various Locations with the Shire Preparation Works for Annual Reseal Program 2018/2019 4 July 2018 - 23 July 2018, weather permitting

During this time, the following guidelines will be in place:

  • The speed limit will be reduced to 40km/hour through the work zones;
  • Single lane road operation may occur at times;
  • Detours around work zones may be in place.
  • Access will be maintained with minimal delays.
  • Traffic control will be on site as required;
  • Ongoing works will occur between 6.00am – 4.00pm Monday – Friday.

Various Locations within the Shire Construction of Kerb Crossings 25 June 2018 - 20 July 2018, weather permitting

During this time, the following guidelines will be in place:

  • The speed limit will be reduced to 40km/hour through work zones.
  • Ongoing works will occur between 7:00am and 5:00pm, Monday to Friday.
  • Possible works could occur between 7:00am and 5:00pm, Saturday.
  • Maintain access to your property with minimal delays.
  • Traffic control will be on site as required.
  • Single lane operations may occur.

Jourama Road, Yuruga Road and Drainage Upgrade 6 June 2018 - 27 July 2018, weather permitting

During this time, the following guidelines will be in place;

  • Traffic control will be on site as required;
  • Detour will be in place whilst cross road drainage works are being performed;
  • The speed limit will be reduced to 40km/hour through work zones at all times;
  • Ongoing works will occur between 6.00am - 4.00pm, Monday to Friday and
  • Possible works 6.00am – 4.00pm Saturdays.

Elphinstone Pocket Road, Abergowrie Pavement and Signage Upgrade 21 May 2018 - 27 July 2018, weather permitting

During this time, the following guidelines will be in place;

  • Traffic control/Traffic management will be on site as required;
  • The speed limit will be reduced to 40km/hour through work zones at all times;
  • Ongoing works will occur between 6.00am - 4.00pm, Monday to Friday and
  • Possible works 6.00am – 4.00pm Saturdays.
