Roadworks

Please be advised that during this time the following guidelines will be in place: Council endeavours to keep residents up to date on current road conditions including during disaster and emergency situations and throughout planned works.

Whilst Council makes all efforts to ensure that information is accurate and up to date, this data is collated from a range of sources and all users should apply discretion and consider the relevance of this information in regards to their own particular circumstances.

Roadworks Information

The table below has information regarding roadworks which Council is undertaking including contact details if you require further information about the works listed.

Abergowrie Road Road Reconstruction Works 13 November 2020 - 7 December 2020, weather permitting

Please be advised that during this time the following guidelines will be in place:

  • Ongoing works will occur between 7.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Saturday;
  • The speed limit will be reduced to 40km/h through the work zones;
  • Traffic control will be onsite as required;
  • There will be machinery and workers on foot in the work area; and
  • Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions.

Barbagallos Road Road Reconstruction Works 13 November 2020 - 12 December 2020, weather permitting

Please be advised that during this time the following guidelines will be in place:

  • Ongoing works will occur between 7.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Saturday;
  • The speed limit will be reduced to 40km/h through the work zones;
  • Traffic control will be onsite as required;
  • There will be machinery and workers on foot in the work area; and
  • Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions.

Lannercost Street, Ingham (adjacent NAB) Disability Parking Bay Construction Works 10 November 2020 - 20 November 2020, weather permitting

Please be advised during this time there will be minimal traffic disruptions with the following guidelines in place:

  • No accesses will be affected during this time;
  • The speed limit will be reduced to 40km/hour through work zones;
  • Ongoing works will occur between 6.00am and 5.00pm, Monday to Friday;
  • Possible works could occur between 7.00am and 5.00pm, Saturday;
  • There will be machinery and workers on foot in the area;
  • Traffic control will be on site as required;
  • A detour for pedestrians will be in place;
  • Due to the nature of works there may be increased noise and vibration during this time; and
  • Motorists are advised to drive safely to the conditions.
Fern and Leichhardt Street, Forrest Beach Pavement Widening/Kerb and Channel Works 27 October 2020 - 18 December 2020, weather permitting

Please be advised during this time there will be minimal traffic disruptions with the following guidelines in place:

  • The speed limit will be reduced to 40km/hour through work zones.
  • Ongoing works will occur between 6:00am and 5:00pm, Monday to Friday.
  • Possible works may occur between 7:00am and 5:00pm, Saturday.
  • Accesses will be disrupted at times. Site Supervisor will advise affected property owners.
  • Existing street parking within the work area may be disrupted.
  • Traffic control will be on site as required.
  • Single lane operations may occur.
  • Due to the nature of works there may be increased noise and vibration during this time.
  • Motorists are advised to drive safely to the conditions.

Ingham-Abergowrie Road (Log Creek to Herbert Cane Productivity Services Ltd) Road Reconstruction Works

Stage 1: 28 October 2020 - 6 November 2020

Stage 2: 9 November 2020 - 27 November 2020

Stage 3: 30 November 2020 - 18 December 2020

Please be advised during this time there will be minimal traffic disruptions with the following guidelines in place:

  • Temporary lane closures and speed restrictions.
  • Temporary service road arrangement for residential properties between 6 Fairford Road and 60 Fairford Road, and 1 Neilsen Street and 8 Neilsen
    Street.
  • Residents can expect to hear noise due to the use of heavy vehicles and machinery.
  • While TMR will make every effort during these works to minimise impacts, road users can expect delays of up to 10 minutes. Please factor
    additional travel time into your journey.
  • Traffic controllers providing direction during the day with traffic signals at night, and advanced warning signs notifying road users of these changes.
  • Access to properties will be maintained throughout the project, however nearby residents may experience some short delays entering and exiting
    their properties.
  • Entry and exit to Sportsman Parade will be restricted to single lane operation.
  • On-street parking will be restricted in the area of the reconstruction works. So, during the works we ask that vehicles are parked within your property or in a nearby street before the start of the works.

Trebonne Basque Handball Court Footpath Connectivity Works

4 August 2020 -  30 November 2020, weather permitting

Please be advised during this time there will be minimal traffic disruptions with the following guidelines in place:

  • Access to driveways may be affected during construction of concrete footpaths.
  • Ongoing works will occur between 6.00am and 5.00pm, Monday to Friday.
  • Possible works could occur between 7.00am and 5.00pm, Saturday.
  • Traffic control will be on site as required.
  • There will be machinery and workers on foot in the area.
  • Due to the nature of works there may be increased noise and vibration during this time.
  • Motorists are advised to drive safely to the conditions.

Mount Fox Road, Mount Fox Reconstruction Works - Mount Fox Landslides Remediations

7 September 2020 - Mid December 2020, weather permitting

Please be advised that during this time the following guidelines will be in place:

  • Ongoing works will occur between 7.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Saturday;
  • The speed limit will be reduced to 40km/h through the work zones;
  • Traffic control will be onsite as required;
  • There will be machinery and workers on foot in the work area;
  • During construction traffic delays between 15 – 30 minutes; and
  • Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions.

Townsville Road and McIlwraith Street, Ingham Traffic Signals - Upgrade and Maintenance

11 November 2020 - 12 November 2020, work progress and weather permitting.

Please be advised that during this time there will be minimal traffic disruptions with the following guidelines in place:

  • The traffic signals at the intersection will be switched off during the works.
  • Queensland Police and traffic controllers will be on site to safely direct traffic and pedestrians.
  • Changed traffic conditions, including speed restrictions and minor delays.

Herbert Street and Cartwright Street, Ingham Traffic Signals - Upgrade and Maintenance

  • Queensland Police and traffic controllers will be on site to safely direct traffic and pedestrians.
  • Changed traffic conditions, including speed restrictions and minor delays.
