Roadworks

Council endeavours to keep residents up to date on current road conditions including during disaster and emergency situations and throughout planned works.

Roadworks Information

The table below has information regarding roadworks which Council is undertaking including contact details if you require further information about the works listed.

Trebonne Footpath Connectivity (Gorton Street and Rankin Street) Footpath Extension Works

15 June 2020 - 17 July 2020, weather permitting

Please be advised that during this time, the following guidelines will be in place:

  • Access to driveways may be affected during construction of concrete footpaths. 
  • Ongoing works will occur between 6.00am and 5.00pm, Monday to Friday.
  • Possible works could occur between 7.00am and 5.00pm, Saturday.
  • Traffic Control will be on site as required.
  • There will be machinery and workers on foot in the area. 
  • Due to the nature of works there may be increased noise and vibrations during this time.
  • Motorists are advised to drive safely to the conditions.

CBD Works - Herbert and Cartwright Street  New Concrete Footpath and Beautification Works 

8 July 2020 - 8 August 2020, weather permitting

Works will be undertaken by local contractor Keita Services.

Please be advised that during this time, lane closures and parking bay restrictions may be in place.

Lucinda Road (between Gentle Annie Creek and Dungeness Creek) Road Micro-surfacing Works

11 July 2020 - 14 July 2020, weather permitting

Please be advised that Department of Transport and Main Roads (DTMR) will be undertaking works with the following guidelines in place:

  • Partial lane closures and a reduced speed limit of 60km/h will be in place throughout the works zone.

  • Traffic controllers will be in place at both ends of the works zone from 7.00am to 5.00pm.

  • A pilot vehicle will escort motorists through the works site.

  • Motorists may experience delays of up to 15 minutes during these works.

  • Temporary traffic signals will be in place at both ends of the works zone to ensure safe travel through the outside of work hours.

Road users are reminded to drive carefully through the works zone, follow the direction of signage and traffic controllers while adhering to the reduced speed limit.

DTMR would like to thank the community for their patience and understanding during these works.

Hardy Street Road Reconstruction Works 

13 July 2020 - 7 August 2020, weather permitting

Please be advised that during this time, the following guidelines will be in place:

  • The speed limit will be reduced to 40km/h through the work zones.
  • Work zones are open to local traffic only.
  • Traffic control will be on site as required.
  • There will be machinery and workers on foot in the work area.
  • Motorists are advised to drive safely to the conditions.

Residents are advised that there will be rolling road closures from 7.00am to 5.00pm daily during works, with a detour in place via Bird and Cassady Streets.
