Hinchinbrook Shire Council Citizenship Ceremonies

Roadworks

Council manages road improvement projects from concept to completion, and engages with the community through a variety of means including correspondence, surveys and meetings.

From time to time, Council may temporarily close roads for various reasons such as development requirements, street parades and roadworks.

For current roadworks and road closure notices, refer to below table.

Pandanus Street, Allingham Footpath Rehabilitation

17 July 2017 - 

21 August 2017, weather permitting.

During this time, the following guidelines will be in place:

  • Traffic control will be on site as required
  • The speed limit will be reduced to 40km/hr through work zones as required
  • Detours for pedestrians around work zones will be in place
  • Ongoing works will occur between 6.00am - 5.00pm, Monday to Friday and possible works 6.00am - 5.00pm Saturdays

Palm Avenue & McIlwraith Street, Ingham Hinchinbrook Shared Footpath Connectivity Project

20 July 2017 - September 2017, weather permitting.

During this time, the following guidelines will be in place:

  • Scheduled works will occur between 7.00am – 5.00pm Monday to Saturday
  • Detours for pedestrians around construction will be implemented
  • Traffic control will be implemented as required

Lucinda Area

Bitumen Resurfacing

Wednesday 16 and Thursday 17 August 2017

This work is being carried out by Downer EDI on behalf of Department of Transport and Main Roads.

During this time traffic control will be present in these areas. Please drive carefully and adhere to the traffic controllers instructions.

Forrest Beach Area Bitumen Resurfacing

Thursday 17 and Friday 18 August 2017

This work is being carried out by Downer EDI on behalf of Department of Transport and Main Roads.

Kelley Street off Victoria Mill Road, Ingham Drainage Works

During this time, the following guidelines will be in place:

  • Ongoing works will occur between 7.00am - 4.00pm, Monday to Friday.

Cassady Street, Ingham Kerb and Channel Rehabilitation Works

17 August 2017 - 31 August 2017, weather permitting

During this time, the following guidelines will be in place:

  • Traffic control will be on site as required.
  • The speed limit will be reduced to 40km/hr through work zones.
  • Ongoing works will occur between 7.00am - 4.00pm, Monday to Friday.

  • A detour will be in place on site as required.
  • Traffic control will be on site as required.
  • The speed limit will be reduced to 40km/hr through work zones.

Ogg Street, Lucinda Controlled Burn

Wednesday 23 August 2017, approx 5.30pm

Halifax Fire and Rescue with the assistance of Hinchinbrook Shire Council will be conducting a controlled burn on Ogg Street, behind Carr Crescent, Lucinda.
