Impounded Animals

Please find listed below all animals currently being housed at the Hinchinbrook Shire Council's pound.

For further information regarding the release of animals please contact Council on 4776 4600.

Owners of animals displayed below will have three to five working days to organise collection, dependant upon registration and microchipping requirements. 

Animals will be available for rehoming after 2.00pm on the exit date.  Anyone interested in rehoming an animal can register their interest with Council. This needs to be completed before noon on the exit date.

Animal Adoption - Expression of Interest form

Upon successful application to adopt an animal, a registration fee must be paid to Hinchinbrook Shire Council prior to the release of the animal.
