Election Signs

Council requirements for Elections Signs are in line with State Government requirements for State Roads as outlined in the Department of Transport and Main Roads Election Signage Factsheet.

Council does not have any objections to the placement of election advertising material, subject to the following:

• Election advertising material is not to be placed on road traffic signage such as warning signs or guide posts
• Election advertising material is not to be placed where material could lead to motorists misreading road signage or being otherwise distracted
• All election advertising material is to be removed following the election
