Street Lighting

Street lights ensure the safety and security of roads users and residents. The annual cost of providing our street lights is currently in excess of $200,000. Council pays Ergon Energy to maintain operation of its street lights.

Please report any street lights that are not operating to Ergon Energy by email – customerservice@ergon.com.au  or through the Ergon Energy website – https://www.ergon.com.au/network/outages-and-disruptions/report-a-problem

Please direct any requests for installation for new street lights – council@hinchinbrook.qld.gov.au or by phone 4776 4600.
