Hinchinbrook Shire Council is committed to providing a high standard of roads within our local community. This is achieved by services such as road works and road maintenance to build new roads, fix and patch pot holes and cracks on existing roads, reseal and re-surface roads, repair and install kerb and channel and sweep our streets.
Council is currently responsible for maintaining:
- 432 km of sealed urban roads
- 256 km of rural roads
- 151 km of kerb and channel
- Approximately 9 km of footpaths (not including parks)
- 44 bus shelters
- 57 parks and playgrounds
