Media Release - National Day of Mourning Facility Closures

Council wishes to inform the community that a number of facilities will be closed on Thursday 22 September 2022 and reopening on Friday 23 September 2022 due to the National Day of Mourning following the Queen’s funeral.

Facilities closed:

• Lannercost Street Office and Council Depot;
• Hinchinbrook Shire Library;
• Halifax Sub-Branch Library;
• TYTO Regional Art Gallery;
• The Hinchinbrook Visitor Information Centre; and
• Halifax Resource Recovery Centre.

The Warrens Hill Landfill and Resource Recovery Centre will remain open between 8.00am and 5.00pm on Thursday 22 September 2022.

Domestic Wheelie Bins will continue to be serviced as normal.
