Get Out, Get Active

21st April 2018

Hinchinbrook Shire Council has secured funding through Get Out, Get Active to promote the fitness of women within the Hinchinbrook Shire.

Council is seeking Expressions of Interest for women of all ages to participate in the following programs:

Functional Fitness Sessions

This program is designed for women focusing on improving strength and fitness in day to day activities.

The program will run for 8 weeks commencing Monday 30 April 2018, with one hour sessions on Monday and Wednesday at 5.30pm and a maximum of 25 participants per session.

Zumba

Zumba is a fun self-paced exercise program that can be enjoyed by women of all ages and fitness levels. Listen to some great music whilst sweating your way to a healthier you!

The program will run for 8 weeks commencing Thursday 3 May 2018, with one hour session each week at 5.30pm and a maximum of 10 participants per session.

Spaces are limited for both of these programs, to avoid disappointment, register your interest by contacting Council on 4776 4600 before 5.00pm Friday, 27 April 2018.

‘The Queensland Government provided $4,800 to Hinchinbrook Shire Council to the Getting Hinchinbrook Women Active Project to enable Queenslanders to participate in sport and recreation activities.’
