Hinchinbrook Shire Council is excited to be undertaking community consultation for an assessment of Infrastructure and Facilities Enhancement across the Shire in association with the Works for Queensland program.
This assessment will propose a future vision to enhance community engagement, tourism and business opportunities throughout the Shire. Considering the enhancement of existing and future community facilities, this program will celebrate both the unity and diversity of our beautiful Shire.
Initially, Council will be undertaking three workshops throughout the Shire and invite the community to contribute their ideas, desires and potential opportunities for consideration for the future of Hinchinbrook.
Community group stakeholders and the general public are encouraged to attend one of the following workshops. Discussions and purpose of the program will provide information on a broad spectrum of the Works for Queensland funding and other initiatives being assessed by Council.
5:30pm, Wednesday 9 October 2019 at the TYTO Conference and Event Centre
1.00pm, Thursday 10 October 2019 at the TYTO Conference and Event Centre
5:30pm, Thursday 10 October 2019 at the Halifax Hall
Following these three workshops, Council will prepare a draft Scope of Works for additional consultation by the community and stakeholders. This is an exciting and significant opportunity to
contribute to this community discussion on the future vision of the Hinchinbrook Shire. Please join us with ideas to share.
