To create the Armistice Centenary art installation, the Queensland Anzac Centenary are calling on Queenslanders to help make 57,705 poppies. That is one for every Queensland soldier who enlisted during the First World War.
You can contribute to this commemorative art installation by hosting a poppy making workshop in your community. Invite your school, friends, social club, colleagues or any other group to contribute to this important project. Register your workshop and they will send you a poppy making kit with everything you need.
You can also make a poppy at one of many workshops being held all around Queensland—from Birdsville to Brisbane, Charleville to Cairns.
Visit the Armistice Centenary art installation on the web to request a poppy making kit for your workshop, or to find details of a workshop near you.
