Hinchinbrook Shire Council welcomes the LNP pledge of $200,000 for the CCTV cameras in the Ingham and Herbert River District. The implementation of CCTV cameras will assist police in identifying offenders and help fight crime within the district.
Hinchinbrook Shire Council CEO Dan McKinlay said ‘The current CCTV cameras installed in the district have been key in the identification of offenders; a grant of $200,000 for CCTV cameras in the district would prove to an extremely valuable asset for our community and local police force’.
