2018 NDRRA Restoration Program for Betterment Works

As a result of the 2018 flood events, Hinchinbrook Shire Council is coordinating a Natural Disaster Relief and Recovery Arrangements (NDRRA) Restoration Program. NDRRA Restoration Programs are joint Australian/State funded programs that provide financial assistance to Local Government for the recovery of assets that have been severely affected by a disaster event.

As a part of the NDRRA Restoration Program Council is undertaking public consultation to collate any ideas, suggestions or opinions that could be incorporated into Council’s 2018 NDRRA submissions as betterment or complementary works that may be required in the Shire.

Any person may make a submission for betterment solutions to Council road and drainage assets with the view to improve outcomes for the community during future flood events.

The submission form is available in hard copy at Council’s Main Office, Hinchinbrook Shire Library and Halifax Sub Branch as well as online via the Public Consultation page on Council’s website.

Written and electronic submissions must be received by Council no later than 5.00pm on Friday 8 June 2018.
