The Bureau of Meteorology has issued an initial flood warning for the Herbert River (10:48 am, Monday 26 March 2018).
River levels are rising along the lower Herbert River during Monday, in response to heavy rainfall during early Monday morning.
Herbert River downstream of Nash's Crossing:
Minor flooding is likely to develop along the Herbert River downstream of Nash's Crossing during Monday afternoon. River levels are expected to remain well below those recorded earlier in March 2018.
The Herbert River at Ingham Pump Station is currently at 6.67 metres and rising. The Herbert River at Ingham Pump Station is likely to remain below the minor flood level (10.00 m) during Monday.
The Herbert River at Halifax is currently at 3.47 metres and rising. The Herbert River at Halifax is likely to exceed the minor flood level (4.00 m) Monday afternoon with further forecast rainfall during Monday.
