It is that time of year again where we see an increase in mosquito numbers as a result of wet weather and high levels of rainfall.
Council is actively managing the issue through on-ground and aerial control activities.
Residents are reminded that under the Public Health Regulation, householders have a responsibility to prevent mosquitoes from breeding on their property.
Mosquitoes breed in water-filled containers or objects such as buckets, pot plant bases, palm fronds, bird baths and old tyres.
By removing these avenues for breeding, you can help reduce the risk of increased mosquito activity.
