Beach Abode: Forrest Beach

Known as the Forrest Beach “Resort,” Mr Vince Corbett built several frames from bush timber along the foredunes, covering them with tarpaulins and renting the humble abodes for five shillings (50 cents) per weekend.

In 1931, it was announced that the Corbetts would dismantle the structures and relocate the huts to Pallarenda in Townsville.
