Venue Hire

We offer a range of venues for hire, suitable for meetings, conferences, community events, performances, weddings and celebrations. 

Council‑managed venues are available across the Shire and can accommodate events of various sizes and purposes.

Planning your event  

When planning an event, it’s a good idea to check what other events may already be scheduled in the local area.

Available venues  

Council venues available for hire include: 

  • Halifax Hall, Rifle Range Road, Halifax  

Each venue offers different facilities and capacities to suit a variety of events.

Venue hire forms

The following forms are required to request venue hire. Please ensure the correct form is completed for your chosen venue and submitted to Council for processing. 

Completed forms can be returned to Council by email: council@hinchinbrook.qld.gov.au or in person at 25 Lannercost Street, Ingham.

Other Council facilities

The following public spaces are currently under lease arrangements and are not available for hire at this time. 

  • Hinchinbrook Meeting Place, Ingham Botanical Gardens, 32 McIlwraith Street, Ingham 

  • Showgrounds Pavilion, 17 Cooper Street, Ingham 

Community equipment hire

Council makes a range of facilities equipment available free of charge for use by non‑profit and community groups. A refundable bond is payable once a booking is confirmed. 

Equipment available:

  • Temporary power boxes: 6 available 

  • Temporary grandstands: 8 available 

  • Community wheelie bins: 40 available 

All equipment is subject to availability and suitable use conditions. 

How to apply 

To request hire of any Council facilities equipment: 

  1. Submit the completed form to Council for assessment 

  1. A refundable bond will be required upon booking confirmation
