Public activities and events

If you're planning to hold an event, activity, or commercial operation on Council-controlled land, you may need Council approval before proceeding.

The Public Activities and Events Application Form(PDF, 189KB) is used to apply for approval for:

  • Temporary entertainment events
  • Community events and public activities
  • Regulated non-commercial activities
  • Commercial activities conducted on Council-controlled land
  • Use of Council parks, reserves, roads, and other public spaces

Do I need approval?

Approval is required for certain prescribed activities conducted on Council-controlled land under Council's Local Laws. Conducting an activity without the necessary approval may result in enforcement action and penalties.
