Established in 2008, this very popular shop has been serving the freshest and the most impressive range of local seafood. With firm favourites like Freshly Cooked Prawns, Hinchinbrook Mudcrabs, Tasmanian Oysters shucked fresh daily and of course their beautiful range of fish.

Situated admist the pristine waterways of the Great Barrier Reef and our local Estuary systems, there is an abundance of sustainable fish species. Barramundi, King salmon, Grunter, Coral Trout, Red Emperor, Nannygai to name a few. All fish is carefully delivered by local fishermen and freshly filleted for you in our expansive 3 metre display.

Huge supermarket style freezers hold an impressive array of frozen seafood products including frozen Pizzas, Homemade Seafood Marinara, Garlic Prawns and Seafood Spring rolls.

A fantastic Fish and Chip menu allows you try this fresh seafood in Burgers, Wraps, Sandwiches and Wraps. They also do daily specials which might include Garlic Prawn Burgers or Lobster Rolls.

When they moved from Townsville Road to Herbert Street in 2022 they extended their business to include a cafe, ice creamery and gourmet pantry. Serving locally roasted Coffee, Organic/Bio- Dynamic milk and ice cream, Wild Local has been busy creating some amazing smoothies, Frappes and Milkshakes. Try their famous Dragonfruit and Mango Smoothie which is the perfect taste of tropical North Queensland.

Wild Local have also launched their Tasting Experiences. Choose between a Seafood Tasting Experience or a Bushtucker Tasting Experience and have avery special and unique opportunity to try some of our most freshest and unusual dishes.
