Youth Week in Hinchinbrook this April will give young people the chance to try something new, build confidence and create lasting memories through two engaging events designed especially for local youth.

On Tuesday 14 April 2026 between 8.15am and 1.00pm, Outer Limits Adventure Fitness will bring an action-packed day to the Ingham Showgrounds for young people aged 8 to 15.

Participants will rotate through three exciting activities — mountain biking, archery tag and team games — in a program designed to encourage movement, teamwork and self-confidence.

Led by adventure fitness specialist Sam Stedman, the sessions focus on participation, courage and fun rather than competition.

The day aims to help young people challenge themselves, make new friends and enjoy the outdoors in a supportive environment.

The following day, between 11.30am to 3.30pm on Wednesday 15 April 2026, the spotlight shifts to the Hinchinbrook Shire Hall, where comedian Anthony Lamond will host the Youth Stand Up With Confidence Comedy Workshop for young people aged 12 to 18.

The workshop guides participants through the fundamentals of comedy and public speaking, starting with brainstorming ideas and writing material before moving into stagecraft, rehearsal and performance skills.

The session culminates in a short graduation performance where participants take to the microphone to showcase their work.

The program is designed to help young people develop confidence, creativity and communication skills in a fun and supportive setting.
