Unplanned Water Outage, Taylors Beach

Published on 11 December 2025

Hinchinbrook Shire Council advises that a broken water main at Taylors Beach will require an emergency shutdown of the water supply.

Key Information:

  • Water supply to all of Taylors Beach will be turned off at some point today.
  • An exact time for the outage is not yet available.
  • Residents may experience lower water pressure prior to the shutdown.

Council crews are working to restore services as quickly as possible. In the meantime, residents are requested to minimise water usage, including irrigating lawns, to assist in maintaining supply across the network.

Once water supply is restored, some households may experience discoloured water or pressure fluctuations. If this occurs:

  • Flush taps for up to five minutes or until water runs clear.
  • Where possible, reuse this water for gardening or lawn irrigation.

Council will provide updates as new information becomes available. Council apologises for any inconvenience and appreciate the community’s understanding and cooperation.
