Update #1 - 9.45AM 22 October 2025

Hinchinbrook Shire Council advises residents that a water supply interruption is currently affecting the Ingham area due to technical issues causing low water pressure.

At this stage, there is no estimated time for resolution.

Council will provide updates when new information comes to hand.

In the meantime, Council requests that residents minimise water usage including irrigating lawns during this period to assist in maintaining supply across the network.

Upon restoration of the water supply, some residents may experience discoloured water or supply pressure fluctuation.

In such cases, it is recommended that affected households flush their taps for up to five minutes, or until the water becomes clear.

Where possible, any water used for flushing should be repurposed for gardening or lawn irrigation.

Council apologises for any inconvenience this maintenance may cause and appreciates the community’s understanding and cooperation.

Contact Council’s Customer Service Centre on (07) 4776 4600 for more information.
