Public Notice - Unplanned Water Outage, Trebonne

Published on 26 January 2026

Trebonne Water Update #6 – 6.40AM 27 January 2026

Water has now been restored to Trebonne following repairs to a second water main break at the corner of Stone River Road and Britton Street.

Some residents may experience temporary low pressure or air in the system as the network stabilises.

Council thanks residents for their patience and understanding while crews worked through challenging conditions to restore supply.

Trebonne Water Update #5 – 11.05PM 26 January 2026

Council is working to organise a water tanker and bottled water for Trebonne and will confirm timing first thing tomorrow morning to support residents who are still without supply.

Residents are asked to bring their own water containers to Leo Park to collect water from the tanker once confirmed.

While the broken main has been repaired, low pressure remains across the network and some areas may still have no water.

Ongoing wet weather and ground conditions are making investigations challenging.

Crews will continue fault finding tomorrow, including inspecting a suspected section of the network between Pump Station Road and the Trebonne township along Fairford Road.

Council thanks residents for their patience and understanding while crews work to restore full supply as quickly as possible.

Trebonne Water Update #4 – 7.40PM 26 January 2026

While the broken water main has been repaired and supply has been restored at low pressure, some pockets of Trebonne may still be experiencing no water at all due to low pressure within the system.

The issue may be related to an airlock or a possible leak somewhere within the network.

Council crews are continuing investigations under wet conditions and are doing their best to identify the source of the problem.

Crews have moved to accessible hydrants to assist with fault finding; however, no clear issue has been located so far.

Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.

Council thanks residents for their continued patience and understanding.

Trebonne Water Update #3 – 3.50PM 26 January 2026

Council crews have repaired the main break in Trebonne; however, there are still small pockets in the area currently without water.

Our team is continuing to work through the network, as there may be another break still affecting supply.

We appreciate everyone who has been calling (07) 4776 4600 directly to report issues — your calls genuinely help us pinpoint affected locations and respond more effectively.

  • The estimated time for full restoration is not yet available.
  • Residents in the Trebonne area may experience low water pressure or temporary interruptions.
  • Council crews are working to restore services as quickly and safely as possible.

In the meantime, residents are requested to minimise water usage, including limiting irrigation, to help maintain supply across the network.
