Hinchinbrook Shire Council crews are currently repairing a broken water main from Blue Butterfly Road, Cordelia to Musgrave Street, Halifax.
Crews are onsite and working to restore water services to approximately 25 properties that are affected by the unplanned outage.
Residents may experience an interruption to their water supply while repairs are underway.
Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
Once water supply is restored, residents are advised to run their tap for several minutes to flush any trapped air or discoloured water from the pipes.
Council apologises for any inconvenience this disruption may cause, and thanks affected residents for their patience and understanding while repairs are completed.
