Public Notice - Temporary closure, Lannercost Street laneway

Hinchinbrook Shire Council advises that works associated with the Community Interactive Laneway Project on Lannercost Street, will be undertaken in the Lannercost Street laneway near the Council building during the following dates. Some activities will require temporary closures to ensure public safety.

Schedule of Works:

• Monday 3 August to Wednesday 5 August 2026: Preparatory works (no closure required);
• Thursday 6 August to Friday 8 August 2026: Preparatory works with equipment installation (laneway closure required);
• Monday 17 August to Wednesday 19 August 2026: Mural painting (laneway closure required); and
• Monday 24 August Sunday 6 September 2026: Final works including protective coating and cleaning (no closure required).

Closures will be clearly signposted, and access will be restricted only where necessary.

Council thanks the community for their patience and cooperation while these works are completed.

The Community Interactive Laneway Project is funded by the Regional Arts Development Fund which is a partnership between the Queensland Government and Hinchinbrook Shire Council to support local arts and culture in regional Queensland.
