Council has been informed by Queensland National Parks that Wallaman Falls has been inspected and the area has now been reopened. The road to Wallaman has now re-opened. Hinchinbrook Shire Council advises that, in anticipation of inclement weather and to ensure public safety, the road access to Wallaman Falls will be closed from the afternoon of Thursday, 5 March 2026, until further notice.
Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service will conduct a site inspection to confirm that all members of the public have safely vacated the area.
