Hinchinbrook Shire Council advises that the Cartwright Street angled car parking adjacent to the Selby Lane intersection is temporarily closed due to damage to kerb and channel infrastructure within the area.
The damage was caused by a private contractor undertaking works associated with an adjoining private property.
Following identification of the damage, Council immediately implemented safety measures and has scheduled replacement works in the coming weeks, weather permitting.
Council is currently working with the relevant property owner and their contractor regarding the cause of the damage, while progressing repairs to restore the area as soon as practicable.
