Hinchinbrook Shire Council advises that the causeway on Christies Road, Bemerside has sustained damage following recent weather events.
As a safety precaution, a speed reduction to 40 km/h and a 10?tonne load limit are now in place. Signage has been installed to advise motorists.
Council is currently exploring long?term options to repair the causeway.
Council thanks road users for their patience and asks motorists to proceed with caution when travelling through the area.
