Public Notice - Public Amenities for Travellers Affected by Bruce

Published on 27 January 2026

  • Ongoing road closures along the Bruce Highway north of Ingham mean some travellers may be stuck in the area and in need of a place to freshen up.

To support those on the road, Hinchinbrook Shire Council has made shower and toilet facilities available from this morning at Ingham Showgrounds, Cooper Street, Ingham.

These facilities are available to:

  • Freshen up and take a break
  • Rest while waiting for travel updates
  • Share this location with other travellers who may need it.
