Proposed Temporary Closure, Gangemis Road, Ingham
Hinchinbrook Shire Council is inviting community feedback on a proposal to temporarily close a section of Gangemis Road for a nominal period of 20 years, in accordance with Section 69 of the Local Government Act 2009. This proposal follows a request submitted to Council due to ongoing access issues.
If approved, the affected section of Gangemis Road would cease to be available for public use. Property owners adjoining the proposed closed section would be required to apply for an access permit should they wish to establish an entrance within the temporarily closed area. Please note that this road is classified as unmaintained road and is not subject to regular maintenance by Council.
