Hinchinbrook Shire Council would like to advise that all works on Mount Fox Range will be postponed from Monday, 8 June 2026, until further notice.
This cessation is due to operational considerations, and the road will remain open to the public.
Motorists are reminded to exercise caution when travelling through the area, as there are still piles of earth material and unfinished work sites along the roadway.
These works are being delivered under the joint Commonwealth–State Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA) in association with Hinchinbrook Shire Council.
Council will continue to keep the community informed as the project progresses.
