Public Notice - Free Mulch for Residents

Hinchinbrook Shire Council is pleased to offer free mulch to residents for personal household use.

Mulch has been stockpiled over time from local tree works and contractors, and Council is making it available to the community to collect.

Collection Details

• Dates: Tuesday 19 May 2026 to Tuesday 26 May 2026 (inclusive)
• Collection Times: 7.00am to 5.00pm daily (including weekends)
• Location: Lucinda BMX Track, 1–7 Dungeness Road, Lucinda

Conditions of Collection

• Mulch is free and available to residents for personal use only;
• Residents must load their own vehicles or trailers;
• Please bring appropriate tools for loading;
• Access is at your own risk;
• Children must be supervised at all times; and
• Follow all signage and safety directions when on site.

Important Information

• Entry gates will be open only during the specified period;
• Supply is limited to available stock – first in, first served; and
• No commercial collection is permitted.
