Hinchinbrook Shire Council is seeking feedback from the community regarding the draft Land Management Plan for the Reserve for Recreation Purposes (R238), within the Forrest Beach locality.
Council has been working in collaboration with the Department of Natural Resources and Mines, Manufacturing, and Regional and Rural Development since 2020 to finalise a Land Management Plan (LMP) for Reserves for Recreation Purposes within the Forrest Beach area.
This LMP encompasses multiple reserve lands across Forrest Beach, all of which are outlined in the document available to download here.(PDF, 4MB)
Council invites the community to review the plan and provide feedback should they wish to suggest amendments to the current draft.
Once finalised, the Land Management Plan will apply to all identified sites and remain in effect for a 30-year term.
Public consultation is open until Monday 27 October 2025.
If you would like to provide comments or feedback, please email: council@hinchinbrook.qld.gov.au or, to discuss the draft plan in more detail, please contact Council’s Customer Service Centre on 4776 4600.
