Public Notice - Blasting notice, Mount Fox Road Works May Update

Hinchinbrook Shire Council advises that controlled blasting will take place on Mount Fox Road from 8.00am to 6.00pm on Friday 1 May 2026 as part of ongoing road upgrade works.

Mount Fox Road will be closed to all traffic for the duration of the blasting works, clean-up and required safety checks.

The road will remain under traffic control and will not reopen until the site has been assessed and confirmed safe.

Council will provide further updates if the closure needs to be extended.

Residents and motorists are advised to plan ahead and allow extra travel time.

These works are being delivered under the joint Commonwealth–State Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA) in association with Hinchinbrook Shire Council.
