Media Release - Successful Community Grant Funding Recipients

During the past financial year Council has successfully supported a variety of organisations, activities, and individual national sporting achievements with its Community Grants Program. A total of 26 Community Grant Applications have been successful, and Council extends its congratulations to the following successful applicants:

Council’s investment in the 2023-2024 financial year equated to potential output growth sales throughout the Hinchinbrook region in excess of $2.1 million. Council is committed to supporting community development and participation, and the Community Grants Program forms a critical aspect to this initiative, and one that Council is proud to offer.

Financial Assistance or Sponsorship is available in various categories such as Youth Achievement Grant ($250 individuals or $700 for teams of three or more), Community Activity Grant (up to $2,000), and Regional Economic Development Grant (up to $10,000).

Applications for the 2024-2025 financial year are now open and close on Wednesday 11 June 2025.
