HLDMG Public Notice - King Tides, Lucinda and Halifax

Hinchinbrook Local Disaster Management Group advises that King Tides are expected over coming days, which may result in saltwater covering sections of the road between Lucinda and Halifax.

King Tide Schedule (Lucinda Offshore):

  • Friday 2 January: 3.78m at 8:30am
  • Saturday 3 January: 3.88m at 9:15am
  • Sunday 4 January: 3.87m at 10:00am
  • Monday 5 January: 3.74m at 10:44am

Residents and visitors are encouraged to plan their trips around these times, as driving through salt water is not recommended. It can damage vehicles and pose safety risks.
