25th October 2017

Notice is hereby given that Hinchinbrook Shire Council is conducting a shire wide Wild Dog Baiting Program utilising 1080 poison commencing Wednesday 1 November 2017, weather permitting.

This wild dog management is required due to high populations in certain areas that are impacting on livestock production.

This notice is to advise that the program is taking place and landholders participating in the campaign must comply with set procedures for baiting. This includes notification to all adjoining landholders at least seventy-two (72) hours prior to the baiting.

For further information, please contact Hinchinbrook Shire Council’s Development, Planning and Environmental Services Department on 07 4776 4607.
