Hinchinbrook Shire Council advises residents in the Halifax and Cordelia areas that works to upgrade approximately one kilometre of water main infrastructure in the Eddleston Drive and Halifax Road area will commence on:
Monday 31 August 2026 and are expected to continue until Friday 11 September 2026
Traffic control will be in place during the works, and motorists are advised to expect minor delays, including temporary single-lane closures.
Council will provide further updates to the community as additional information regarding the water main upgrade becomes available.
This is funded by Council’s 2026-2027 Budget.
