Planning Act 2016 - Adoption of Planning Act 2016, aligned Hinchinbrook Shire Planning Scheme 2017

Notice is given under the Planning Act 2016 that on 29 May 2018 the Hinchinbrook Shire Council resolved to adopt a Planning Act 2016 aligned Hinchinbrook Shire Planning Scheme 2017.
The purpose of the Hinchinbrook Shire Planning Scheme 2017 is to provide the community with state of the art planning documents that:

1. articulate Council’s vision for the Shire and region for the next 50 years.
2. take advantage of, and incorporate new data available for the region into the planning scheme.
3. align with recent legislation changes introduced by the State Government.

The Planning Act 2016, aligned Hinchinbrook Shire Planning Scheme 2017 will commence on 2 July 2018.

From 2 July 2018 the Planning Act 2016 aligned Hinchinbrook Shire Planning Scheme 2017:

1. will be available for inspection or purchase at the Hinchinbrook Shire Council, 25 Lannercost Street, Ingham
2. can be viewed online and downloaded online at www.hinchinbrook.qld.gov.au
