Media Release - Works to Commence - Desjardins Crossing Bridge Replacement

Council wishes to advise that from Monday 22 March 2021 weather permitting, Desjardins Crossing Bridge will be closed for approximately six weeks to undertake its removal and reconstruction.

During this time, road closures will be placed on both approaches at Cemetery Road and Dangercamp Road, Blackrock.  Affected eastern residents will have a detour available via Danger Camp Road and Warrens Hill Road for access to Ingham.

Cr Jayo said that “On behalf of Council, I wish to thank residents for their cooperation during this necessary phase of works”.

The contract for Desjardines Crossing Bridge replacement has been awarded to local contractor Keita Services.
