Media Release - Calling All Artists - Enter the 46th Hinchinbrook Art Awards

Get ready for one of the most anticipated art events of the year! Hinchinbrook Shire Council is inviting local, regional, and national artists to showcase their talent in the prestigious 46th Hinchinbrook Art Awards to be held at the TYTO Regional Art Gallery.

This iconic event draws artists from all over Australia, providing an exceptional platform for both rising stars and seasoned creatives to exhibit their masterpieces. With categories spanning multiple media, this is your chance to shine!

Councillor Donna Marbelli expressed her excitement, saying, “The Hinchinbrook Art Awards are not only a celebration of creativity, but a testament to the incredible talent that thrives in our community. We look forward to seeing this year’s entries, which always inspire and enrich our region’s cultural landscape.”

Artworks can be entered into the following sections:

• Painting (2D);
• Water Colour;
• Mixed Media;
• Digital Media;
• Works on Paper;
• Photography;
• Ceramics; and
• Sculptural Form.

Entries will be automatically entered into the following categories:

• Open Award (Acquisitive);
• Local Artist Award (Hinchinbrook Shire residents only);
• People’s Choice Award;
• Indigenous Artist Award; and
• Youth Award (For artists 18 years and under at the date of opening night).

Entries close 4.00pm Friday 4 October 2024. All entrants are required to attend the Exhibition Opening Night on Friday 8 November 2024 or send a representative on their behalf.
