Minor Flood Warning remains current for the Region

The Hinchinbrook Local Disaster Management Group (LDMG) met this morning to review the impact severe weather conditions have had on the district over the last 12 hours.

The LDMG moved from Alert to Stand Up last night. A Minor Flood Warning remains current for the region.

Halifax, east of Ingham, recorded 300mm in the six hours to 5am Sunday, and 681mm in 24 hours to 9am Sunday.

A number of roads throughout the district remain closed, or open with caution due to water over road.

Council Facilities throughout the district, including the Hinchinbrook Shire Library, Hinchinbrook Visitor Information Lounge, Regional Art Gallery, Warrens Hill Waste Management Facility, Halifax Transfer Station, remain closed today.
