Media Release - Trebonne Water Main Cleaning Commencing Monday

As part of Council’s ongoing commitment to maintaining Council and Community assets, Council would like to advise Trebonne residents that cleaning of Water Mains will be undertaken during the next week between 9.00am and 5.00pm.

Works are scheduled to commence the afternoon of Monday 19 August 2024.

During this time, the water supply to Trebonne properties will be turned off periodically to enable the scheduled maintenance. Each interruption is expected to last between a two to three hour period as the work crews travel around the streets. Work crews will liaise with businesses, schools and Trebonne aged care facility before works commence.

It is suggested that, if water is likely to be required during this time, sufficient water be stored in containers prior to 9.00am.

Once the water supply has been restored, it may be discoloured for a short time. This is due to sediment. Residents are advised to allow their taps to run until the water runs clear. Milky water is caused by air bubbles. Do not be alarmed, this is not harmful and will settle after a short period of time.
