Media Release - selectability Officially Opened

29th April 2021

Regional Queensland’s largest mental wellbeing organisation officially opened its doors in Ingham on Tuesday 27 April 2021. selectability is a not for profit organisation. The Mental Health Hub provides a range of National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and government funded services to improve the mental wellbeing of individuals and contribute to suicide prevention in the Hinchinbrook Shire. 

The Mental Health Hub also offers the community a ‘On Your Bike for Mental Health’ service which operates out of the Bike Shed, located at 90 Lannercost Street, Ingham. The program includes free bicycle loan scheme, bicycle repair workshop, scheduled group rides, break out areas for socialising, tea and coffee making facilities and access to other supports. The ‘On Your Bike for Mental Health’ service is free, and everyone is welcome. 

“Hinchinbrook is pleased to see the selectability Mental Health Hub officially open its doors. This not for profit organisation will provide the community with access to more services that will improve mental wellbeing. Their expert trainers will also provide the community with skills and training for those who are interested in entering the NDIS or community services workforce. Council looks forward to working with selectability to support the needs of the Hinchinbrook community” said Mayor Jayo.
