Council General Meeting Dates for the 2018 calendar year have been adopted by Council. Residents are reminded that with the exception of confidential items, meetings are open to the public. Council meetings take place on the last Tuesday of the month with the exception of December.
General Meetings are held at 9.00am in the Council Chambers, Level 1, 25 Lannercost Street, Ingham. General Meeting dates are scheduled as follows:

Council continues to be active in ensuring transparency of Council operations allowing for easier access of information, Council’s General Meeting Minutes, and relevant financial and work related reporting is available on Council’s website, Meetings and Minutes page following the meeting.
Rhino Dive Pty Ltd will be undertaking maintenance on Yanks Jetty, Orpheus Island during the week commencing Tuesday 5 December 2017, weather permitting.
The maintenance is expected to take two days and during this time the jetty will be closed. Signage will be in place to inform visitors of the jetty closure. Register to receive your Council rate notices direct to your nominated email address. To register, please download, complete and return the Electronic Rate Notice(s) Registration form available on Council’s website Electronic Rate Notices page.
Ratepayers who do not register to receive Rate Notices via email will continue to receive Rate Notices through the post.
Ratepayers with email addresses in Council’s database were automatically sent a copy of the Electronic Rate Notice(s) Registration form on Friday 17 November 2017 via email.
Council is currently undertaking works along the Lucinda Foreshore between the Coastguard Building and Ferrero Street. Works which are being undertaken include the removal of exotic species which are inhibiting the growth of native vegetation in this area, the removal of dead palm fronds and the removal of Prickly Pear and Ochna serrulata also known as Mickey Mouse Plant.
Ongoing works will include the removal of dead trees and corrective pruning in the maintained area along the Lucinda Foreshore.
Hinchinbrook Shire Council would like to remind residents that there are two free Domestic Waste Disposal days on Saturday 9 December 2017 and Sunday 17 December 2017 to assist residents in preparing for the cyclone season. Hours of operation will be the same as the normal operating hours for each facility. Facility hours listed below:
Residents can dispose of their household waste or green waste free of charge; waste items which will incur a charge include commercial waste, tyres and asbestos.
