Council advises residents and tourists of the following update on Mount Fox Road.
Mount Fox Road is open with caution, following stabilisation works undertaken to address damage caused by the recent rain event.
To ensure public safety and prevent further deterioration, access is limited to vehicles up to a fully loaded Class 5 four axel truck, with a maximum Gross Vehicle Mass (GVM) of 27 tonnes.
Mayor Ramon Jayo said “Due to potential ongoing rainfall, road conditions may change rapidly. Several intervention triggers remain in place, requiring regular inspections, which may result in further access restrictions as needed.”
Council apologises for any inconvenience and appreciates your understanding as we work towards the recovery phase of this road.
