Council has met with the Forrest Beach Recreational Boating and Tourism Committee to discuss the proposed Forrest Beach Boat Ramp, Jetty and Breakwater Project.
Mayor Ramon Jayo has said the project was progressing with request for quotes being called for consultants to carry out detailed costings for the construction and ongoing maintenance of the proposed facility.
‘Council recently called for a qualified consultant to carry out quantity surveying, economic analysis and preliminary design of the boat ramp and breakwater. This will provide Council with a cost benefit analysis and the construction, maintenance, depreciation estimates for the project.’
Data from the investigations will be used to study the potential economic outcome of the project and will be available at the end of this year.
